I hate credit, and all its rules...

 Greetings from Occupied Territory...

It's been several years since I've posted, but I found a new place on Fartbook... but, alas... Fartbook disabled my account, for I don't know how long...  Zuckerberg, and his ilk will be made to pay by our Prez.  Again, I'm no fan of Trump, but... results must be admired!  From 2017, to present... my wife and I were doing well!  We'd recovered from Obamunist rule, and started real progress; not this regressive, dystopian nightmare that the Regressive Leftists have tried to foist upon us...

Now, thanks to the Chinese Communist Party, and their useful idiots in the Democrat party... We have the CCP virus... They'll call people accusing them of releasing this bug, conspiracy theorists, when videos of Gates, Fauci, and others, show them talking about this as far back as 2015...  They get caught, and they use classic Soviet-esque redirection.  They try to blame my side for their treachery...  Anyway...

The wife and I are trying to buy a house; we've waited 10 yrs for my credit to climb out of the credit shitpile... Now, we're finally out of that, and my score hits 658...  So, we decided to look for a house.  Because my score isn't as great as it should be, we couldn't qualify for a conventional loan, nor do we have the cash to buy a home.  We've been looking since mid July, but to no avail... We've looked all over, so far... We'd move out further, but I work in Portland, and Toni works with the State... We don't need to be moving so far out...

The thing about credit I can't stand, is how much of a contradiction it is...

1. If you have bad credit, you're better off than having no credit...

2. If you have no credit, you'll have a hard time getting credit...

3. The more credit inquiries you have, the worse it looks on your credit score...

Rules need to change, because these rules are horrible!  Prove me wrong, because you can't!  Shylock has nothing on these predators!  First off, no credit should be better than bad... Second, credit inquiries shouldn't affect your score at all.  And the more inquires should show your interest in acquiring credit, inviting lenders to want to flock to you... Now, if you screw up your credit up, then you should have to go through a redemption period, then you can start over... But, that's not how it is... 30+ years ago, I managed to get a copy of the FCRA scoring system, and I was able to tell a bank manager that they should seriously rethink their denial of my loan application.  The bank manager got pissed off when I showed him that by using his criteria (the same FRCA criteria), he should be offering me a higher loan!  I told him that I'd report him to the FTC, for violating the FRCA... I ended up walking out of the bank with a $5000 loan!  I had started my credit journey!

I'd manage to pay off most of my loan, then I'd been discharged from the Marine Corps... I went back to Sacramento, and started to live with my ex, Elena... That was a mistake!  She started me on my downward spiral, ruining my credit for at least 19 yrs... Every time I tried to recover my credit, she'd find some way to fuck it up.  It took me another 10 yrs to recover my credit... I paid off a lot of debt, I even contested a lot of debt.  I was able to get some old debt to fall off, and finally see my score get above 600 for the first time, since 1990!!!

Now, with my credit above 650, we decided it was time to buy a house... Our combined credit isn't enough to qualify for a conventional loan, so we were able to qualify for an FHA loan... $250k worth.  That, alas... won't buy shit!  Except maybe a shitty, and small house!  Or, something overpriced!  We had a seller approve our application, except that the house was too small, and too expensive for what it was... plus, they wanted $850 a month in flood insurance!!!  Our mortgage would've been over $1500 a month!!!  Toni and I together only make $4k a month, That wouldn't leave much much for bills!  So, we backed out... The search continues.

Personally, I wanted a trailer in an trailer park... but, no... we don't qualify for that.  I wanted simple, but no... we're not good enough for simple.  As for me, I'm done for now...
